High Sierras, Ghost towns, Petroglyphs and Lake Syncro
Trip Overview September 14 - 21, 2025
Camping under the pines in the High Sierra and 4-wheeling to cool places with friends! Get ready for a great trip! We'll head up and down 4x4 trails on three of our days together and also enjoy cool sites like historic Bodie, scenic Mono Lake and a climb through the Black Point fissures. We may see ancient petroglyphs and visit Lake Syncro! This trip will be open to 12 Syncros and as many Syncronauts that can pack inside. Weather is expected to be pretty chilly at night with daytime highs in the 60s. |
Syncro Safari, Mammoth '25 will be Saturday, September 14 to Saturday, September 21, 2025. This time of year can be very nice in the Sierras but sometimes has the season's first of snowfall about this time. Expect daytime highs in the low-mid 60's and overnight down into the low 30's. Brrrr!

Why: The beauty of the eastern Sierra is amazing and has numerous recreational opportunities to choose from!
4x4 Trips: We expect group 4-wheeling trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and other recreation on Tuesday and Thursday.
Camp Syncro : We will camp at Pine Glen Group Camp adjacent to (but not in view of) the town of Mammoth Lakes, CA. This will be our "Camp Syncro" base for the trip and is in the middle of the outings we plan. Our spot is reserved for 7 nights.
More info: We plan to enjoy our traditional "Taco Night" group meal, photo scavenger hunts, raffle prizes, and more. This year we may include a group pancake breakfast too!
Costs: The cost was $216/Syncro for camping and miscellaneous expenses associated with the event.
Additionally, there may be separate ENTRANCE FEES for parks we might travel to. Unfortunately due the the high cost of these groups sites, this the most expensive fee we've ever had. It breaks down to $31/night for each Syncro.
