Syncro SafariTM Registration
Registration will open on Sunday, May 18th at 6:00PM Pacific Time Please read the REGISTRATION PROCESS section below.
Note that if registration is full you may send a registration request to be on the waiting list. Most years, the waiting list DOES get used, so it's useful to request this. |
We will be able to accommodate only 12 Syncros at this event. Sorry 2WD Vanagons are not part of the program.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
If the event is full, you can be placed on the waiting list. For one reason or another, we usually have at least one or two cancellations / no-shows, so the waiting list is definitely useful.
Registration will be available for those who can commit to participate for the entire week-long (Sunday - Saturday) event.
Registration works like this:
Once you've checked out the information about this trip and previous Syncro Safaris, and have decided that you'd like to participate, follow these four easy steps...
WHEN REGISTRATION OPENS: (Sunday, May 18th, 2025 at 6:00PM Pacific Time)
1. Email Jim Davis at SyncroHead at aol dot com and say that you would like to attend and you'd like one of the available spots. Let me know if you expect to bring a pet. Well mannered and controlled pets are allowed with advanced notice.
2. If a spot is available, we will let you know and email you the following: (Find items B - F here on the website also.)
A. Registration Form
B. "Bring List - Personal Items"
C. "Bring List - 4x4 Items"
D. "Vehicle Prep List"
E. "Don't Bring List"
F. "Ecological Values"
G. Our mailing address
If all the spots are already taken, a waiting list will be created of others interested in attending.
(Steps 4 & 5 would then be "on hold" for waiting list entries.)
3a. You print and complete the Registration Form and mail (old fashioned snail mail) two things:
A. Completed Registration Form
B. Your share of the costs: $216/Syncro (Our highest cost ever due to expensive campsites) Sad face here.
OR
3b. Complete on-line registration and PayPal payment with the link and password that will be provided in the registration packet email.
4. We will email you confirmation that I've received your form and camping fee and that your spot is secured.
Cancellations: Please consider these costs to be non-refundable. If you must cancel, and IF a replacement is found for your spot, then all or part of your money may be returned. There's no guarantee of finding a replacement, so please understand that your money may not be refunded if you can't attend.
BE PREPARED
1. You'll be expected to bring gear as indicated on the 4x4 Vehicle "Bring List" and make certain your vehicle is in shape for the adventure, but reviewing the Vehicle Preparation List. Since a breakdown or getting stuck will result in delays for the entire group, we want to be as prepared as possible for these circumstances. Once trail plans are finalized, more specifics will be provided on what's absolutely required and if any items might be optional.
2. Proper personal items are important. Please come prepared with these: Personal Items List
COSTS
As is the norm with Syncro Safari events, the cost to participate is determined by dividing up the event costs we incur. This is primarily camping fees, but also includes some additional expenses for the event.
The full cost of your share of the event will be required to hold your spot at time of registration.
Please don't ask if an IOU is acceptable. Sorry.
CANCELLATIONS
Please consider these costs to be non-refundable. If you must cancel, and IF a replacement is found for your spot, then all or part of your money MAY be returned. There's no guarantee of finding a replacement, so please understand that your money may not be refunded if you can't attend.
