Camping under the pines in the Grand Tetons and 4-wheeling to cool places with friends! It was great!! We enjoyed beautiful and historic sites and saw Bison, Bald Eagles, Moose and deer! We'd planned to travel a few 4x4 trails near the park but what the guidebook described as 4x4 was just a partially rough road. What the guide described as "high clearance required" was graded road. No 4x4 challenges for our group this year except a side rout to cross a rather deep river. This trip was set for 12 Syncros but after cancellations, there were eight. Syncro Safari, Tetons '26 was Sunday, July 19 to Saturday, July 25, 2025. This time of year is in prime season for summer recreation. |

Who: This adventure had 8 of 12 Syncros arrive after cancellations.
What: A week of scenic drives, 4-wheeling adventures, camping, sight-seeing, and recreation with fellow Syncronauts
Why: The beauty of the Tetons area is amazing with numerous recreational opportunities to choose from!
Scenic Trips: We did group trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and other recreation on Tuesday and Thursday.
Camp Syncro : We camped at a site in Colter Group Camp near the east side of Jackson Lake. This was our "Camp Syncro" base for the trip and is in the middle of the outings we plan. Our spot is reserved for 7 nights and is about a 0.8 mile walk or drive to the beach area at Jackson Lake.
More info: We enjoyed our traditional "Taco Night" group meal on Tuesday despite the rain!. We also had photo scavenger hunts, raffle prizes, and more.
Costs: The cost was $297Syncro for camping and miscellaneous expenses (like firewood) associated with the event.
Includes 7 nights camping including check-in on optional early-arrival day on July 18th.
Additionally, there was a SEPARATE ENTRANCE FEE for the National Park of $35 good for 7 days unless you have an annual pass. Unfortunately due the high cost of these groups sites, this is the most expensive fee we've ever had. Sad Face Here
Climate: Weather is expected to be very nice with chilly nights in the low 40s and daytime highs in the upper 70s.
We've ordered the "Deluxe Weather Package" but our order was cancelled and some rain ensued!
