Camp Syncro 2020Our "Camp Syncro" base camp for Kodachrome 2020 will be in the Oasis Group Site. This site is more than sufficient for our plan of 10 Syncros and about 15-20 people. Elevation 5,800 feet.
Adapted from the park's web page: 67 monolithic stone spires, called sedimentary pipes, accentuate multihued sandstone layers that reveal 180 million years of geologic time. The color and beauty found here prompted a National Geographic Society expedition to name the area Kodachrome, after the popular color film, in 1948. |
