Syncro SafariTM, Glacier '24 Overview
Our 2024 Syncro Safari adventure was in northwest Montana in and around Glacier National Park northeast of Kalispell, Montana. Our "Camp Syncro" base camp was at Emery Bay Group Camp on the northern shores of Hungry Horse Reservoir. Our 2024 adventure included, scenic drives in Glacier National Park, mild-to-moderate 4-wheeling routes west of the park boundary, hiking, and a river rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River!
As is the norm for a Syncro Safari adventure, this was a semi-intimate event limited to 10 Syncros, allowing everyone to get to know the others in the group. By the end of the week, people we just met started to feel like family.

Quick Overview:
Where: In and near Glacier National Park in northwest Montana
When: August 3th - 10th, 2024

What: A week of scenic drives, 4-wheeling adventures, camping, sight-seeing, and recreation with fellow Syncronauts
Why: The beauty of the Glacier area is amazing and has numerous recreational opportunities to choose from!
4x4 Trips: Although we typically do 4-wheeling trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and other recreation on Tuesday and Thursday, this year's schedule was different. We took on 4-wheeling trips on Monday and Friday and enjoyed group scenic drives into the park on Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday was left open for other recreation and some did a river rafting trip.
Camp Syncro : We camped at Emery Bay group camp, which was our "Camp Syncro" base for the trip. This spot is close to both Glacier park and our 4X4 trips.

Additionally, there were separate ENTERANCE FEES for Glacier National Park and separate VEHICLE RESERVATION FEES for travel within the park.
Climate: Park Website says: "Glacier's weather is highly variable and can be extreme. Expect warm, sunny summer days but be ready for any type of conditions. Glacier's geography, straddling the Continental Divide, sets the stage for clashes of two very different climates. Warm, wet Pacific air moves in from the west, and cold, dry Arctic air flows from the northeast. They meet at the Divide."
