Big Bend - April 6, 2014
Sunday evening, April 6th, Camp Syncro was at Big Bend of the Colorado State Park in Nevada. Big Bend doesn't have a set aside "group" area, so they generously agreed to allow Syncro Safari to camp in their day-use area right on the beach of the Colorado River. We got to start off our desert trek with a swim! Park Website: CLICK HERE

Monday evening, April 7th, Camp Syncro was at the Goffs Cultural Center, in Goffs, CA. This is home of the Mojave Desert Heritage and Cultural Association. (MDHCA) The center provided us use of their restrooms, showers, and grills for our stay, plus use of their picnic area tables for Taco Night. More importantly, they provided our group with a tour of the historic Goffs Schoolhouse building and both the indoor and outdoor museum displays. Author and historian Dennis Casebier provided a presentation on the history of the Mojave Road. MDHCA Website: CLICK HERE
