Syncro SafariTM, Sedon'ta '21 Overview
Originally called "Sedona '21", this event was CANCELLED and nicknamed "Sedon'ta '21" when wildfires in the region caused CLOSURE of the Coconino, Prescott, Kaibab, and Tonto National forests in late June 2021.
Information about the cancelled adventure follows:
Our 2021 Syncro Safari adventure will be in northern Arizona near the picturesque town of Sedona. Our "Camp Syncro" base camp will be at Chavez Crossing group camp which is centrally located to our three 4-wheeling routes and also close to beautiful Oak Creek Canyon and other attractions in the are. The 2021 adventure includes, 4-wheeling, and opportunities for other adventures like horseback riding and more! As is the norm for a Syncro Safari adventure, this will be a semi-intimate event limited to 10 Syncros, allowing everyone to get to know the others in the group. By the end of the week, people you just met will start to feel like family.

Why: The beauty of the Sedona area is amazing and has numerous adventurous 4x4 trails to choose from!
4x4 Trips: Trips will be family-friendly 4-wheeling and NOT expected to bash your Syncro. We’ll expect to do 4-wheeling trips three times during the week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Camp Syncro : We have reservations for group camping at Chavez Crossing group camp, which will be our "Camp Syncro" base for six nights. This spot is central to the area's attractions and to our planned 4x4 trips.

Sunday, Day 1 – Arrive, make camp, make friends at Camp Syncro
Monday, Day 2 - First of three 4-wheeling trips
Tuesday, Day 3 – Free recreation day. Probably see some of the park's attractions via paved roads and - TACO NIGHT!
Wednesday, Day 4 – Second of three 4-wheeling trips
Thursday, Day 5 – Free recreation day. Probably see some of the park's attractions via paved roads.
Friday, Day 6 – Third of three 4-wheeling trips
Saturday, Day 7 – Break camp, say our goodbyes, and head home... or somewhere...

Costs: The cost is $85/Syncro for camping and miscellaneous expenses associated with the event. Additionally, there may be entrance fees for State or National Parks depending on how the itinerary develops.
Climate: Our campsite is at about 4,100ft elevation. Daytime highs in Sedona average about 92F and overnight lows about 60F, so expect most daytime temperatures to be in the 80s. Our 4x4 trips will generally take us up in elevation from about 5,000ft to 7,200ft so it may be a bit cooler than Sedona during our outings.
