Our Montezuma Adventure...
Our 2021 event was originally planned to be in the Sedona, AZ area, but that plan was cancelled and nicknamed "Sedon'ta" when wildfires in the region caused CLOSURE of all the northern AZ National forests in late June 2021. So, we quickly made a new plan...
Our 2021 Syncro Safari adventure was in southeast Utah with our "Camp Syncro" located in beautiful Montezuma Canyon which contributed the name for our week-long adventure. This location provided great access to remote trails and lead us to many ancient cliff dwellings, petroglyphs, three 4-wheeling routes, as well as immense canyons, caves, and tall cliffs. Other adventures included a expert tour of Montezuma Canyon with it's many ancient pit-houses, cliff dwellings and even a well preserved Anasazi kiva, plus several trips for leisure time at a nearby lake. With the switch from Arizona to Utah, a number of participants were not able to attend and we had seven vans, less than the usual norm of 10. This provided for a semi-intimate event allowing everyone to get to know the others in the group. By the end of the week, we started to feel like family.

Our 4x4 trips will took us to elevations of 8,000ft to just over 10,000ft so our days were warm without being terribly hot. Cool dips in the lake were an awesome refreshment after a day on the 4x4 trails!
